Marguerite Frederickson

Council Grove, Kansas

Throughout all of her work, Marguerite has demonstrated a commitment to promoting the welfare of at-risk youth and children and families in need. She serves as the Interim Assistant Director at the Kansas State University Career Center. Previously, Marguerite has worked with school districts across Kansas, as well as Uganda and Liberia in her service as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer.

Tony Iallonardo

Washington, D.C.

Tony is a Director of Media Relations as the Wilderness Society. Tony previously worked on national forests and endangered species issues for the National Environmental Trust, led efforts at the National Wildlife Federation, and worked on toxics reform for the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families coalition.

Nathan Reed

Winfield, Kansas 

Nathan is Superintendent Winfield Kansas public schools. Previously, Nathan was Superintendent in Fairfield Kansas where, among other accomplishments, oversaw the implementation of some of the strongest Reading Roadmap programming in the state. 

Andrew Hysell

Madison, Wisconsin

Andrew has a career dedicated to promoting children’s health and education. He developed the original Reading Roadmap model and worked to promote child literacy and early reading for over a decade serving as Associate Vice President for Policy and Advocacy for Save the Children. He also worked as the New England and Mid-Atlantic Regional Advocacy Director for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

Dan Klucas

Silverlake, Kansas

Dan Klucas currently serves as the appointed Securities Commissioner for the Kansas Insurance Department. He has dedicated his entire career to service for his country and community. Raised in Kansas, Dan enlisted in the Air Force and subsequently worked as a law enforcement officer in San Bernardino, California. He returned home and joined the Kansas Department for Children and Families as the Deputy Secretary of Administrative Operations. As Deputy Secretary, Mr. Klucas personally supervised and supported the development of the rural Reading Roadmap model. Continuing his commitment to support at-risk children and families, Mr. Klucas most recently served as the Vice President of Administration and Finance at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka. 

Toya Harrell-Matthews

Clarksdale, Mississippi

Toya Harrell-Matthews is a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi. She is the daughter of two former educators, Donell Harrell and the late Vera C. Harrell. Education has always been a priority for Dr. Matthews. She is a 1993 honor graduate of Clarksdale High School and completed her undergraduate studies in psychology from Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, MS in 1997. Additionally, she has earned a master’s degree in school counseling from Delta State University, an educational specialist degree and doctoral degree in educational leadership from Mississippi State University. She is an active, life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, National Educators Association, Mississippi Association of Educators, and a member of Haven United Methodist Church. Presently, Matthews serves as an Assistant Superintendent for the Clarksdale Municipal School District. She has worked in the Clarksdale Municipal School District for 22 years. She is the proud parent of Taylor C. Matthews, an eighteen-year-old rising sophomore at Tougaloo College. Her life’s motto is: “Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you want, but you can only spend it once. Spend wisely.”
